Although new as a songwriting team, Brians and Chapin’s successful careers have crossed many times over the years as best friends and collaborators.

Robin Hood Brians

Starting as an artist for the Fraternity Label, Robin soon learned his real love was behind the board. As an renowned engineer and producer, Robin has attracted an array of musical talent to his Robin Hood Studio in Tyler, Texas. Over the years, Robin has helped in the creation of work for clients that have included, The Five Americans, The Uniques , ZZ Top, Ike & Tina Turner, Charlie Pride, Joe Stampley, and many others.

In addition to his recording work, Robin has been one of the most successful jingle writers in America working for clients including Frito Lay, Borden’s Milk, American Airlines, Dillard’s Department Stores and hundreds of other companies. One of his regular collaborators was Jud Chapin. Together, they created award-winning songs for over 30 years, notably, the original Chili’s “I Love My Baby Back Ribs” song.

In his celebrated career in advertising, Jud has created memorable campaigns for many of America’s biggest clients, including Clio Award winning work for American Airlines, The Sarah Lee Corporation, Greyhound Bus Lines and Lone Star Beer. Other national clients include Con Agra, The Zales Corporation, The Miller Brewing Company and hundred of other companies. In helping create music for his clients, Jud has worked with numerous artists including Luther Vandross, Roger Miller, Patti Austin, Valerie Simpson, B.J. Thomas, and Eddie Rabbitt.

Since the purchase of his advertising agency by OmniCom, Jud has been an consultant to corporations and advertising agencies. He has recently turned a majority of his time to his first love, music. Writing lyrics for songs with his partner, Robin Hood Brians. With his advertising background, Mr. Chapin brings the added dimension of connecting songs with companies for campaigns.

The Demos

To help bring their songs to life, Brians and Chapin enlisted the help of old friend, Paul Leim. Paul is one of Nashville best known studio drummers, having played on the tracks of many of the best known artists in the world. Paul put together a who’s, who of studio musicians, including David Hungate, Pat Buchanon, John Jarvis and John Willis.
